Kissing the Hand of the Past

by

No one can give your life back to you.

The past is the past, learn from it, we learn from what has been.

I want to thank my ex for all the experiences we shared, both the good times and the moments when we parted ways.

If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t be where I am now, thinking differently, suffering, going to therapy, reading, listening to podcasts, experiencing love, depression, anxiety, and eventually becoming wiser and stronger.

All of these are lessons. I didn’t know how to find the positive side of what happened until it happened.

With all sincerity, I say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to Elsy.

I kiss your hand for everything that happened in the 13 years we spent together with our children.

I didn’t know how to view negative situations and sought out the positive side of everything that happened.

This is how we learn to be better, more present.

I’ve discovered that in all negative situations (as we perceive them), there is actually a tremendous positive potential.

For that, I thank you for everything that happened in my life.

Life goes on, and if it weren’t for the ups and downs, we’d get bored with life, just as Adam and Eve got bored with the perfection of Eden. 😄
